The Howloween Boulder Writers Warehouse Fundraiser Party by Urwill Rocks!

Have you been to the Boulder Writers Warehouse yet!?

This is the coolest place to find resources for local writers.  Located in the Boulder Creative Collective at 2500 47th St (off east Pearl St, site of the old 303 Vodka distillery), they host writing workshops, meetings, hangouts, events and more.  It can also just a nice quiet cozy place to get some writing done, read a book, have a coffee, and print out your latest poem to read at the open mic.  A team of key holders are now hosting open hours 7 days a week.  Here’s the schedule…

This Sunday October 23rd from 2pm-midnight is BWW’s Howl-O-Ween Poetry Party and fundraiser presented by Love Shovel Ranch!!  Entry to this all-ages event is by donation, and $10 gets you a keg cup! (must be over 21).

Highlights will include Jesse Pacheco’s mask making workshop at 2pm, followed by the whimsical music+poetry filled Ira Liss Show at 5:15pm, a poetry open mic at 6, and improv-punk band Black Market Translation at 8:30pm.  There will also be a costume contest, a local zine/chapbook table, pie-eating duels, zombie brain tossing and a kissing booth!

And.. you may have noticed in our community discussions forum an interactive story about poet zombies taking over Boulder. The story and its exciting conclusion will be printed and read at the event!

This is a great chance to meet and hang out with all the crazy characters of the local poetry community and support this worthy project.  Come out in costume and bring your poetry!!!
